Dear Einstein Students, Staff, and Families,
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” is a line from my favorite Christmas song. These words captivate me because it seems that this time of year is when our nation, communities, homes, and campus are at their best; holiday decorations, festive lights, and extraordinary holiday sweaters remind us to appreciate and celebrate all that is wonderful this time of the year.
As we near the end of 2024, I’m so grateful to be able to reflect on and celebrate the many achievements of our students, faculty, and staff. This year, we have benefited enormously from the growth of our campus, which has allowed us to expand our spaces for learning, innovation, and play and to increase our focus on science, art, and student activity areas. We also welcomed our first international students, whose unique perspectives have greatly enriched our student body. In addition, our students’ participation and excitement have energized and transformed much of our community – from our drama programs and musical concerts to cross-country running competitions and competitive basketball teams.
As a new year approaches, I invite you to reflect on this season of gratitude, love, joy, and peace. The upcoming holiday offers a chance to relax, share time with friends, family, and loved ones, and recharge for the new year. It also provides time to consider what we can do to prepare our students for 2025 and beyond.
Our Einstein Creed offers a counterpoint to a world that can feel increasingly fractured. In it, we affirm our shared values and traditions and emphasize our commitment to one another. By dedicating ourselves to living according to the Einstein Creed, we grow as a community and help cultivate in our students the courageous leadership necessary to build a better future.
I sincerely thank everyone for the work they have done this year. This school is a partnership between students, staff, and families, and your continued support and generosity are greatly appreciated. I welcome the coming year with great pride as we prepare to add to the next chapter in Einstein School history.
As my favorite song says: “…be of good cheer! It’s the most wonderful time of the year”!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones!
